The time has come, it’s officially wedding week!

It’s almost hard to believe that after a year (and a few days) of being engaged, by the end of this week I’ll be a married woman. This past year has gone by at a blink of an eye – and all the planning, the worrying at night, the second (and third) guessing on dress and jewelry, destination vs. local venue is finally on the backburner. No turning back now!

I’m beyond excited for this week and all the moments that will lead up to the big day when I get to see my man for the first time and say “I do!”

While planning all the major stuff, I also tried to set aside time to make sure I was taking care of myself so I will look and feel the best on my wedding day. I’ve been eating my daily dose of greens, exercising, flossing, etc. – and I’ve been trying to take really good care of my skin, both in and out of the shower with AVEENO® products from Walmart.

I’ll be the first to admit that I was lucky in the skin department genes. Both sides of my family have pretty flawless skin and I’ve never really had to deal with any major issues. My mom taught my sister and I at a pretty young age to never take it for granted, and to take really good care of our skin – both face and body.

While I’ve never dealt with any major face breakouts, my skin tends to respond to stress pretty easily, and it’s something I’ve especially noticed this past year with wedding planning. I’ve broken out in rashes a few (too many) times, and realized that I needed to change up my beauty routine in order to get a better handle on everything.

First way I did that? With the AVEENO® Skin Relief Body Wash, and it’s honestly been SO effective. It’s a very gentle, creamy body wash that leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturized. And even more importantly, since my skin has been sensitive, is how gentle it is – I honestly not only feel how healthy my skin is, but I also like knowing that I’m using a body cleanser that’s fragrance free, hypoallergenic, and dye-free.

It makes me feel good knowing that with AVEENO®, I’m taking the steps in the right direction to feeling my absolute best (not only on my wedding day, but every day too!).

So once I’m done scrubbing myself clean with the AVEENO® Skin Relief Body Wash, it’s time to shave those legs. Y’all, I’ll confess that although I was granted great skin genes, the hair on my legs is not the same story. I was definitely the girl in elementary school who begged my mom to let me shave my legs at least a solid year before everyone else. I feel like I’ve constantly struggled to find a way to shave less, but keep the legs smooth for more than a day.

With the AVEENO® POSITIVELY SMOOTH® Shave Gel, I’ve truly noticed the difference. I don’t need to shave every day, my skin feels soft, and there is no irritation at all. The AVEENO® POSITIVELY SMOOTH® Shave Gel is made with natural soy extract, oat, aloe and vitamin E – and it feels almost like I’m conditioning my legs when I use it. Anything I can do to not have to shave every day? I’m IN.

And when I was packing for my wedding this week, you can best believe I put the cleanser and shave gel in my bag. I’m not giving up this beauty routine any time soon! I absolutely love knowing that I’m taking great care of my skin, and I honestly feel like I’m doing just that with AVEENO®.

Cheers to pampering ourselves at home, and always feeling our best! Planning a wedding or not, I’ll always want to take the best care of my skin.
