Ready or not, football season is here!
I won’t be cliché and talk about how quickly time has flown by (but seriously, hasn’t it?!) – and instead, I’ll celebrate the beauty of all the reasons why football season rocks!
It’s because of the food.
It’s always because of the food though.
And with the official start of football season around the corner, it’s time to tailgate! In celebration, I’ve joined a group of bloggers from all over the country — all of whom are big football fans! — to bring you 64 tailgating recipe ideas for a terrific football party.
Y’all, this roundup features some killer recipes. I think we should make it a mission to try them all, don’t you? (Oh and best part is that we’ll be bringing you 2 more round-ups throughout the season!)
So let’s talk football for a second or two. Readdddy, break.
Although my current residence is in Charlotte, I am, have been, and forever will be, a Cleveland Browns fan. A Cleveland-EVERYTHING fan to be exact, but you probably saw that one coming.
As I’m sure you’ve heard a thousand and one times, us Clevelanders have been through it all.
We’ve overused the phrase, “there’s always next year.” We cringe, we cry, we celebrate. But most of all? We are truly ride or die fans.
I don’t care what anyone says about us (well, what can you really say now after our Cavs Championship?) – if you’ve ever met a Cleveland fan, you know how dedicated we are to our teams and our city.
And one of the things us Clevelanders know how to do best? Tailgate. If you’ve ever experienced a morning in the Muni lot before a Browns game, then you know what I’m talking about. And if you haven’t, wellllll – you probably should add it to your sports bucket list.
It doesn’t matter if it’s -25 degrees out, or we’re playing an undefeated team with slim chances of winning — fans will start trickling in at wee hours of the morning, preparing for the day ahead. One can say, it’s kind of a big deal.
So this one is for y’all – my true ride or die fans who are getting their menus (and livers) ready for this upcoming football season – there’s always this year!

I fell in love with these peppers myself this year (it’s so much fun not knowing if you’re going to get a hot one!) and I can’t say no to wings. Looks like a game day must make!
Browns fan, huh? I guess we’ll see what happens next Sunday! E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles! 😉

These are a game day dream! Two of my favorite foods to eat with my hands. Chicken wings & shishito peppers (always hoping for the spicy ones!;)) Can’t wait to make these!

I’m going to need to bookmark this for tailgating and football games! Flo and I LOVE LOVE LOVE chicken wings and get them everywhere. Nothing like eating with my hands like a cave woman. Forwarding him this recipe now! Yummmmm.

Looks like a great round up of recipes, Michelle! I’m not a football fan, but I do love all of the food that goes along with this time of year, especially wings….well, I love wings any time really, lol 😀 Love that you’ve added peppers to the mix. Big Fan! I know my hubby would really enjoy these too! Pinned!
Karen @ Seasonal Cravings says
These look so sticky, sweet and delicious. Love those peppers. My son asks me to make chicken wings at lease twice a week!
